This year I want to do more on our sunny little patio. I am not used to Denver planting guides so I have a bit of research to do as to when is the best time to plant and uncover my iris bulbs I have had hiding away for the winter.
This year I would like to grow my own herbs, I think this is all I can expect in the small space I have. One day I will have space again to get back into vegetables but for now I will enjoy smaller plants and frequenting the local farmers market :)
I would love to give cilantro, mint, rosemary and thyme a space in my 2013 garden. These are herbs we use regularly. I don't have much room but I have seen some cute ideas out there.
Things like this

I love this shoe hanger idea, I could put this over our storage room door
I also think something like this could work well in the little corner we have free out there

I love growing my own plants and i love getting my son involved.
What plants will you be growing this year and do you have any ideas for small gardens you can share?

What a fantastic idea. I have been stressed about re-doing our whole patio area, but to just do one corner could give me just as much fulfillment, with far less work. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love these ideas. The hanging shoe holder would be great hanging right next to my backdoor so I can just snip off whatever spices I need instead of walking to the far corner of the year for a few sprigs of rosemary.
ReplyDeleteThat shoe hanger idea is so cool!
ReplyDeleteIsnt it, I am defenently going to try it
ReplyDeleteI am going to put it on the storage shed door on the deck. Nice and close!
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, I had a huge garden before we moved into an apartment and it was alot of work
