How to break that groundhog day feeling!

Welcome to Week 5 of the Folk Magazine blogging prompt!

Do you ever feel like life is going around in circles, like you are just doing the same thing over and over again and it is driving you NUTS!!!

Some kind of routine is good but when routine starts makng you feel down, caged or depressed you need to break out of it.

We cant all afford vacations once a month and most of us don't have time off to be able to do it.  So how do you break out of the norm?

I like to discover new places, try new things or go to some of my favorite places that make me feel refreshed!

My husband and I have been talking about snowshoeing , we now live in Colorado, skiing is popular but  snowshoeing is not as expensive and you can take your time and enjoy nature!

This is another place I have on my to do list

Wild Animal Sanctuary, this place looks amazing, rescued animals get to live in miles and miles of open territory and you get to view them from an amazing walkway

This is one of my favorite places in downtown Denver to sit with a coffee, we like to cycle here in Summer along the river trail.  Our little guy likes to wade in the river.  Today the sun was shining beautifully!

Those are just a few things that I want to do or like to do to break the manotomy of life.  I think any new adventure with my little family is wonderful.

What do you like to do to break the groundhog days?

  1. Ah! I loved this! I have been in a funk lately and all I want to do is stay home, but going out for a run or taking a family picnic usually invigorates me when I'm having a groundhog day. One adventure I would love to take with our kids is snow skiing. {Jealous you live in Colorado!!!} My youngest needs to be a little bit older but we will get there!

  2. I know what those times are like! Actually I am in one myself, my husband did just buy us base layers though I think he is kicking up the idea of snow shoeing a notch!
